Have you ever made or heard this statement, I cant see the forest for the trees? Sometimes a person can be standing right in front of what they are looking for and still not see it. Why? One reason may be due to all of the clutter that is lying around what they are searching for.
What about salvation? Have we dumped a lot of man-made doctrines into the Gospel of Christ to the point that a person no longer understands they are saved just by placing absolute trust in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) and Him alone? Its not absolute trust in Yeshuas (Jesus) redemptive work on the tree plus circumcision, plus baptism(s), plus tongues, plus tithing, plus what you eat or dont eat, or plus whatever else stands in the way of seeing the simplicity of the Gospel of Christ for salvation. It is absolute trust plus nothing! "For by grace you have been saved through faith (trust), and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Why do we complicate what God intended to remain so simple that even a child could understand the truth, believe the truth, and be saved? God said it is by grace through faith that we are saved (period). My question to those of you who are making salvation a "trust plus" issue is, Do you want to stand before God and tell Him that trusting in Yeshua (alone) was not sufficient to bring full redemption so you made these minor additions?
Under the old covenant God gave man the Torah (Law). The Torah was not just a set of rules and regulations that man in his weakness attempted to keep. It was and is a tutor! The Law pointed to the fact that no matter how hard man tried to keep it he would fall short. Yet within the Torah was the promise of the Messiah. The promise brought hope to all those who would believe! The Torah revealed what would one day be fulfilled through Yeshua God would provide Himself, THE LAMB! When the Passover was established the sacrifice pointed to the One who would be the final sacrifice. All of the feast days held a picture of Messiah. Yet when Yeshua came, as promised, many could not see too much man-made religious clutter had dulled their senses to the truth. The traditions of men made the word of God no effect in their life. They did not believe that Yeshua was "the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him" (John 14:6).
What about you, do you know that the promised Messiah came? Do you understand that Yeshua (Jesus) paid the price for your salvation? It was through His shed blood that the price was paid in full. THEREFORE, because He paid the price, when you place absolute trust in Him you are saved! You come to the Father through Him alone! Remember this to be saved: IT IS ABSOLUTE TRUST IN YESHUA PLUS NOTHING!
